I feel my feet leaden as I climb the slope. I pass a house and my eyes move to wayside grasses with different green densities and further to the clump of trees, big and small, in the background. My expectation swells toward what waits for me ahead and I become a little inquisitive. I struggle to the top of the winding slope. Many different colors jump into my eyes of the flowers profusely in bloom. Then I climb down the slope lightly treading down the earth and appreciating the rustic scenery spreading ahead in the mountainous village of Okutama. They all are integrated into the beauty of a landscape, so pleasing to the mind of passers-by.
